Connecting old projector to new X1 HD box

Connecting old projector to new X1 HD box

I have an old projector that I'm trying to connect to the brew X1 box. The projector has VGA and RCA (red white yellow) connections. It doesn't have HDMI. I purchased a VGA-HDMI cable but I didn't know that it doesn't project sound. I purchased this but it doesn't work.

I have no idea what to do at this point. Would anyone be so kind to help me? I would be forever grateful.

Re: Connecting old projector to new X1 HD box

I would see if you could swap the xid for XG2, since your projector doesn't have HD connections. The XG2 has RCA connections (red, white, yellow) that the Xid doesn't. Or move the dvr to the projector and xid where the dvr is, if possible.
