Cloud DVR Partial Recordings

Cloud DVR Partial Recordings

Two Cloud DVR recordings only recorded partial episodes on June 13, while the physical DVR recorded the entire episodes. Other recordings the same evening had no issues on the Cloud DVR. The 2 partial Cloud recordings were 2 of 3 shows that were scheduled to record at 8 PM.


Here are the 2 recordings that failed to record completely on the Cloud DVR:

  • Barbarians Rising - Part 2 Rebellion - 1270 History Channel (only recorded 9 minutes 15 seconds)
  • 12 Monkeys - Hyena - 1208 SyFy (only recorded 9 minutes 21 seconds)

The 3rd show scheduled to record at 8 PM was fine on the physical DVR, but showed a recording time of 3 hours 48 minutes 48 seconds on the Cloud DVR (it was only a 30 minute program). It was:

  • How It's Made - Commercial Drones; Aquarium Fish; … - 1251 Science Channel


I will leave these 3 recordings temporarily on the DVR (and Cloud DVR) if someone from Comcast wants to investigate what went wrong.
