Cannot play video on Xfinity player

Cannot play video on Xfinity player

I downloaded the Xfinity player app. with no problem, it even worked well when I first downloaded.  Now, I haven't been able to watch anything on it for the past week or so.  Every time I open something to watch the player acts as if it is loading but then it just kicks me off the app.  I have tried closing out the program, turning on and off my device, etc. but nothing has worked.  App continues to crash.

Re: Cannot play video on Xfinity player

Comcast has identified an issue with the XFINITY TV Player App if users update to the iOS7 operating system on their Apple device. This impacts all iOS devices including the iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod Touch. Android devices are not impacted.
If customers upgrade to the iOS7 operating system, they will receive an error and will lose the ability to stream and download content. In order to resolve this issue, they will have to uninstall and reinstall the app to stream video. Unfortunately, when uninstalling and reinstalling the app, they will lose all previously downloaded content.
In addition, after reinstalling the app, if they are in Airplane Mode or offline (no cellular or Wi-Fi connection), they will not be able to view downloaded content. They will need to be connected to cellular or Wi-Fi to view.

We plan to release an update for the XFINITY TV Player app as soon as possible to address these issues, however, there is currently no estimated time for the fix.
