Cable line issues from pole to house.

New Poster

Cable line issues from pole to house.

I have a problem with the way the cable lines cross over my back yard. My neighbor line crosses over the yard so low I can reach it. My line crosses the yard also low enought to cause other problems. Can these lines be rerouted to not cross over the back yard. Maybe along side of the property line.

Re: Cable line issues from pole to house.

I had the same problem, but somewhat worse, as I had electric, phone and cable lines crossing my property and servicing neighboring properties. A friend of mine is an engineer at a local utility, he told me that utilities cannot cross a property like that, they would have to be moved to follow the property lines. I made some calls and the electric company had to come over and put intwo new poles to move their lines. Once the poles were in, the phone company and Comcast then came and moved their lines to the new poles. That's the way it worked out for me, Comcast is not a utility but I imagine that they have to follow the same laws as the utilities do in regard to crossing private property.
