Browser failure while using Xfinity Online

Browser failure while using Xfinity Online

Two days ago, my Xfinity playback would spontaneously stop. There is no way to get back to channel line up, previous show, etc. I can force the browsers to close, but cannot open any browser. I am viewing in Chroms, but IE and Firefox also fail to launch after each event. I am not losing internet service as I have another system running off of the same moden (both are wired connections) and there is no disruption of service of any kind to the other computer. I can even launch Xfinity.

Since the problem,

I have updated the drivers on my network card - no change in event.

I have changed ports in the modem for network access - no change.

My only recourse is to shut my computer down, and then everything resets. After an hour or so of online viewing, the event repeats.

Nothing else causes this browser failure. I have cloud based apps, browse the web, etc. It is only from the Xfinity UI does this event occur.

Re: Browser failure while using Xfinity Online

Hi inindy. I can assist with your XFINITY playback issue. From what I understand after having ready your post, this might be a hardware or software issue on the one computer. Are you able to use the other computer when the one freezes? If so, can you try to go to our site to playback when this happens to confirm the XFINITY site is not causing your browser failure?

Let me know if you are still experiencing this trouble.
