Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

I am running the latest Xfinity TV Remote iOS App.

I have "Show Adult Content" ON

All adult content in the TV Listings on the iPhone and iPad shows with the Title "Adult Content"

like for MaxHD in their After Dark timeframes.

Any clue why? I have tried both settings.... Show Adult Content ON and OFF.

Been this way for months.... it worked as expected last fall, then with one of the updates it changed to this behavious and hasnt fixed itself.

Are there any settings on the website that would affect this?

Thanks

Re: Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

make sure on the primary account online you dont have parental controls set, that overrides any controls on the mobile devices.

Re: Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

I verified that parental controls are turned off on the primary account on comcast.com

I verified I am logged in on the primary account on the iOS device.

Still no change.

Re: Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

Takes me to the comcast page

I login

Takes me to the main dashboard for the primary account

I click on Xfinity TV Online Parental Controls

It then asks me to create a 4 digit Pin, since Parental controls are disabled.

I also uninstalled the app, rebooted iphone, reinstalled the app. No change.

The Show Adult Content filter is set to off by default. When this is off, no Adult videos will appear in the app. This does not pertain to the listings.

As for the listings showing "Adult Content", I do not know if this is an issue or done by design. I have reached out to our TV Listings experts for more information and will update this thread when I know more.

Thanks,
Joe

Re: Adult Content on iPhone and iPad

FYI, It shows Adult Content while logged onto our own account online at Comcast.com looking at the guide listing as well. Its one thing that anyone can download the Comcast app but even logging into your own dvr manager account and you can't see the name of a show at 11pm? That's absurd. Let the parents do the parenting, not Comcast! It doesn't bother Direct TV or TV guide, GASP.
