A few noted bugs with Streaming

I've decided to throw up a few issues I've seen lately:

-When videos are taken from full screen to shrunk within a browser (not full screen) there are consistent and brain-aching horizontal shifts back and forth that make the image unviewable without getting a migrane.  This was noticed on many shows, such as "Atlantis" on BBCAmerica and others not BBC.

-When watching the latest episode of Doctor Who (airdate 12/25/13) the advertisement would kick in at the break, but then it would return me after the ads to the previous spot, as in back 5-10 minutes.  Needless to say it is annoying to watch a show and have to constantly reset the position on the load bar.

-When watching Top Gear UK (and I believe a couple other shows such as Atlantis, but cannot recall for sure) the advertisments would kick in 6 seconds before the break for the ad.  This occurs at every break, and is annoying.

I will add to this with more when I come accross them.

Re: A few noted bugs with Streaming

Remembered one more when I returned to watching a show:

-"The Call" is the name of the movie, but it is listed as "The Hive" that you actually play.  Which is it?

  1. I haven't seen this behavior before but I'll see if our teams can repro
  2. Again not sure I've seen this but will look into it
  3. Ad breaks are programed by the providers based on time-code its very possible they have the wrong start time listed. We'll need to fix this as they happen.
  4. "The Call" will be fixed shortly
Thanks,
Tony

Re: A few noted bugs with Streaming

-For some reason, "Black Sails" Episode 1 is heavily censored.  I don't know if this is supposed to be, but every bit of blood/cuss word/nudity has been censored out for some reason.  I don't know why, since Starz is a subscription service, and it's their own show.

The result is constant blurring of the images and blanked out words...
