11-7-2017 software update

the update does not allow to download and the message block will not go off the screen unless you unplug the cable box from the electric for 30 seconds.  it will then not be there until you turn off the tv/box  and later turn on to watch tv, the same problem starts again.  it is not working Comcast and you chat techs are clueless on how to fix the issue.

Do you have a smart tv?

 

Software update may be for the television, not the cable-box.

 

If so, use the tv's remote to handle the update.
