xfinity gateway - connected devices

xfinity gateway - connected devices

Hello,

 

On my Xfinity app I disconnected one device and there does not appear to be a re-connect option. The device will not reconnect.  One of the forum options was to go into Parental Control to "trust" the device but it did not work.  How to I unblock this device?

I'm sorry. Which XFINITY app are you referring to?  This forum is for the XFINITY TV app which allows customer to watch their included TV programming. It sounds like you may be having issues with a different app?

new to this.  signing into my router through the internet.  Any idea where I can get answers?

You'll have better luck in the Internet forum area (this is for the XFINITY TV app) but here are some basic steps to access your router (assuming it is one of the newer Comcast models):

 

  • Make sure you are connected to your network. This can be a wired or wifi connection.
  • Open a browser and go to 10.0.0.1. This is the router's gateway and it will automatically bring up a log in screen.
  • Enter username and password.
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
