http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/TV-App/Xfinity-TV-App-Kindle-Fire/m-p/2745418#M1 has an article on that subject. Let us know if successful or not.

Re: support for the original kindle fire?

The article you posted is the one that prompted my question.  The article states that there is no support for the original Kindle Fire as of May '16.   I want to know if this is permanent or might they add support in the future.

It appears that the app store knows if your device qualifies. If the device is fully up to date on its firmware, and you can't find the app for your device, it may mean that the device does not meet the minimum requirements to run the X1 TV app.

I'm sorry but the answer is most likely no. Kindle devices need certain capabilities which are not supported by older devices.
