Xfinity TV remote app lists college team by mascot instead of college name

Why does the app list the college teams playing by the mascot name instead of the college? Who knows or cares what the mascot is except if you actually went to that particular school.

 

This is utterly foolish, I find myself having to look up or tap the listings information to know what schools are actually playing. I also noticed that it dosen't work this way when I look at the TV listing from my TV. What genius over-engineered this (bug)? Please just keep things simple.
