Xfinity Stream TV app download failures

Xfinity Stream TV app download failures

When using the Xfinity Stream TV app I have noticed a lot of problems.

1. Downloading from my DVR recordings to my tablet fail. The download is interrupted and starts all over again. The download says it is complete but when I attempt to play it offline it does not work.

     

2. Downloading on demand movies fail for the same reasons listed above.

 

This is extremely frustrating when I'm payingover $200 per month and the services simply do not work.

 

Are there any known issues with the Xfinity Stream TV app and the ability to download content?

    Make sure that your app has the most recent updates. Also, it's been known that sometimes the apps become

    corrupted and you need to delete the app and then reinstall from App store. Good luck!

I tried to delete and re add the app and I’m still having same issue it starts the download but never finishes. I have this issue on both my iPad Air and iPhone 6S now. All software and apps are up to date

I, too, am having this same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Any update on how to correct this??

I am using an Android Tablet.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and still experiencing the same issues.

I'm also having this issue.  I've tried to delete the app a few times, etc.  Even tried dowloading from my home where I have decent speeds.   Any ideas?  I don't see a clear solution provided in this thread.

I’m having similar problems. When trying to stream recorded shows on my iPhone the recordings skip. I’ve tried downloading the videos and it still does the same thing. A 60 min show only shows up with like 53 min when I try and stream. The lengths are always different too sometimes 53 minutes sometimes 46 min etc. I tried sending you a private message but it wouldn’t go through could you please send me a private message so I can respond.

I'm having this issue with both my Samsung S7 edge phone and Samsung tablet. Skipping when watching recordings but fine when playing from the DVR. I attempted to PM you but the screen pops up and then disappears so I can't PM you from my tablet. 

 

This issue is extremely frustrating given the amount of money I pay for service. If there is a fix available it should be posted on this thread instead of requiring additional steps. This thread is a couple months old...surely there is a fix available by now?

Why is the solution more guarded than the popes bed chamber ?

it isn't guarded but only a Comcast Official Employee can take the issue to the engineering employees that can fix the Cloud DVR that you are connected to causing the problem. Generally it is only a few areas of the country. did you message the official employee that posted a few posts above your post?

Can't stream or download DVR content unless I'm in my house

This is beyond frustrating! Unless I'm on my home network, I get errors when I try to stream programs that are on my DVR. Also, truing to download is a joke. If the screen on my tablet times out, the progress bar goes back to zero%. I got X1 thinking I could watch shows while I travel, but I end up using my Amazon Prime Video and Netflix apps. I'm very disappointed with X1. It only seems to work when I'm at home.

I have to add. After an hour of trying to download, the progress just went back to 0 without the screen timing out.

HI, I moved your thread and reply to the existing thread. please look at the Comcast Official Employee post of 01/18/2018 and follow the directions there so your download and playback of streams can be repaired.

Why is the app so slow? Also, I don't know how to send a PM

Netflix is fast in downloading (5 min for 90 min movie) my internet speed is fast, but downloading movies to my iPad using the latest app from iTunes, xfinity stream app extremely slow. Had to set my iPad to not time out or download stops as well. Takes an hour or longer for "Girl on a train" (one of the downloadable selections. Trying to download a couple of movies for the plane ride tomorrow
