How can I watch Xfinity on my Linux PC. I have Ubuntu 16 and Chrome browser which I thought supported flash streaming via pepper flash?
I can get to the point where "Adding Device" indicator spins forever.
This is my primary PC and limits my use of the streaming content
Simply put Deb ... You can't.
I have been fighting with Comcast over this for a while now.
My Primary system is a Dual Boot of Ubuntu 16.04 and Linux Mint 18.
Best I can figure it only has to do with the fact that Linux and Chrome or
FIrefox on Linux doesn't use Flash.
I tried enabling flash many times unsuccessfully. I got as far as being able to view the channel list before the plugin crashed. I have done everything I can to get a working Flash in my browsers but noo luck. I do not believe Comcast will be adding any kind of support for Linux Users, anytime in the future. I've stressed myself for 7 months and gotten nowhere.
I bought myself a small iView Stick PC with Windows on iit for $100.00 just so I could plug it into a spare TV and use the Xfinity Stream Website.
That's just my two cents. I've given up on Any Support from Comcast, I get no help.
I can get someone to fix my Modem, My X1 DVD, the cabling, billing help etc. But completely ZERO when it comes to computers, mobile apps or Roku intelligable.
