Adobe Flash need to Net TV?

When did xfinity require Adobe Flash for Internet TV on demand?

the creaters/providers of the entertainment require DRM (digittal right management) enforcement. One is adobe's system and is widely available.

Why would they change to Adobe Flash when it is so hackable and nobody that's anybody is using it any more. Seems like a real step backwards or it is safe for PCs and not for Macs?

No one other than comcast knows, my guess, it was easiest and fastest way to get new streaming site released. They used Adobe DRM which requires Adobe flash.
