Hello,

For question 1:

via the phone

http://customer.comcast.com/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?Guid=b6d4029c-7cda-492c-afb2-65cbf2850e5a

Via the computer:

Yes you can access your deleted voicemail by going to xfinity connect and click on voice tab and look in your delete folder. You really can't delete a voicemail online until 90 days

Via mobile phone:  (depending which one and if you are using the xfinity mobile application)

The 90 day rule applies to the phones.

For question 2:

Via the computer

Go to xfinity connect and click on the voice tab

Via the phone

You will have to setup this feature

Via mobile phone:   (depending which one and if you are using the xfinity mobile application)

It will give this when you click the digital voice menu.

Re: voicemail questions

For number 1, if you delete the message via xfinity connect or smart phone client, the message is moved to the trash folder which is cleared out on a nightly basis. Until the maintenance runs for that day, the message will remain in the trash folder.

Re: voicemail questions

misfishy19-
Sorry about the issues you are having. The above information is correct. Let me elaborate a little more for you.

For question 1:
If you accessed your voicemail via phone and deleted your message from there, your voicemail was deleted when you hung up your phone and it's longer accessible via dialing *99.
You will need to go online and log into xfinity connect immediately and look for your deleted voicemail you wish to keep. It will be in the trash folder.

Messages are automatically irretrievably deleted  24-48 hours.

For question 2: To get message details via xfinity connect it will be displayed on the same message line with the date, number and so forth.
To access message details via phone simply press 5 after listening to your message.

Here are some helpful messaging functions for you:

Main Menu
1 Review all of your messages.

1-2 Listen to new and skipped messages only.

2 Send a message to another Comcast Digital Voice Voicemail box. See Voicemail messaging for more details.

4 Change your personal options.

5 Restart your session.

This will sign you out of your Voicemail box and return you to the beginning as if you had just called the Voicemail access number.

6 Review any messages you have marked for deletion.

This is useful if you deleted a message by mistake and wish to restore it. Please note that this option is only available during the same call to the Voicemail system that you deleted the message; once you exit the system, any messages marked for deletion will be permanently lost.

8 Play the telephone number of this particular mailbox.

This is useful if you have more than one line and are unsure which Voicemail box you have accessed.

* Disconnect your call.

After Listening to a Message
Keypress Description
4 Replay the message.

5 Listen to the message envelope.

The message envelope information consists of the date, telephone number which sent the message (if available) and the length of the message.

6 Forward the message to another Comcast Digital Voice Voicemail box along with a message of your own.

You cannot forward the message to a Voicemail box belonging to another carrier. See Voicemail messaging for more details.

7 Delete the message.

Note: If you accidentally delete a message you wish to keep, you may restore it using option 6 on the main menu. After you disconnect the call, however, all deleted messages are permanently removed.

8 Reply to the message if it was left by another Comcast Digital Voice customer.

See Voicemail messaging for more details.

9 Save the message.

9-1 Mark the message as unheard.

By marking the message as unread, your stutter tone and message indicator light (if your phone is equipped with it) will both be turned on. This is useful if you hear a message intended for another member of your household.

# Skip the message.

* Return to the main menu.

While Listening to a Message
Keypress Description
1 Return to the beginning of the message.

3 Fast forward through the message.

3-3 Fast forward to the end of the message.

5 Listen to the message envelope.

The message envelope information consists of the date, telephone number which sent the message (if available) and the length of the message.

7-7 Delete the message.

Note: If you accidentally delete a message you wish to keep, you may restore it using option 6 on the main menu. After you disconnect the call, however, all deleted messages are permanently removed.

# Skip the message.

* Return to the main menu.

Personal Options
Keypress Description
2-1 Administrative options

3 Greetings

* Return to the main menu.

Please let me know if you need more assistance.

Re: voicemail questions

When I listen to my voicemail messages and press "5" I DO NOT get the date the message was left.  I would really like to!  Much more useful than the length of the message!

Re: voicemail questions

The option to set up the date and time is avaialble in Xfinity Connect / preferences / call manager & scroll down to voice mail prompts and check the box.
