I have not had any problems with xfinity voice service.  I have an answering machine with my home phones but when callers speak into the machine when we don't answer, we are unable to hear the speech.  Insead it shows the message in writing on my Xfinity website through my account.  How can I change the settings so that the message records on the answering machine like it did beore?

Ensure that your personal answering machine picks up the call BEFORE the COmcast VM does.   Look at setting yur personal answering machine to pick up after 4 rings, and change the Comcast VM to pick up a number of rings HIGHER than your personal answering machine.

You can set the Comcast VM rings here:  https://pf.connect.comcast.net/OptimusPref/prefs/voice

Re: voice

What geek46 says should be able to help with your issue. The other option would be to disable and remove the voicemail on our end. -FC
