Call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and ask the CSR to DISABLE your VM feature..... this will remove it from your account and no longer work.,

Re: voice mail

there should also be an extended absence greeting option which will prevent people from being able to leave messages.

This isn't an option and you are not answering the OP's question.

Re: voice mail

http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/phone/setup-extended-absence-voicemail-greeting/ uh, yes it is and yes i am. the OP did not ask how to remove voicemail but asked how to stop getting voicemail. do you have a history of personally attacking posters here? you don't seem to be a comcast employee so how are you a moderator or in a position to enforce policy here???

Not to get too involved at this point, but when an OP states "I never intend to use it" pretty much requests the feature be removed.
