"No Line" = No DiaL Tone

"No Line" = No DiaL Tone

We are trying to install new telephones (cordless - 4 handsets) When I plug into the jack where our current telephones are the new phone screen reads "No Line":- no dial tone.  This makes no sense since it is the same box we are currently using with the old telephones.  The phone is AT&T Model DECT6.0 cordless telephone/answering system with caller ID/waiting. Is this phone model compatible with Xfinity?

Hi I have installed my new modem and all connections are in place but I do not have a telephone line and tel phone line 1 and line 2 are not blinking on the modem?  Please help.  Thanks

Correct - there is NO dial tone.
