deleting messages

I have a message on my phone that cut off when the person was talking, but I am not able to delete it, or save it for that matter. The line just goes dead. That is keeping me from retrieving the messages that follow. What can I do? 

 

Another question...

Is there a way to delete a phone message without hearing it all the way through? When I hit 7, it continues to play to the end.

Press 77 anytime during the message playback to delete it without listening to the whole message.

Thank you!  I called Comcast about this and the rep told me I had no choice but to listen to the whole message before deleting.
