Recently had Voice installed with no battery. Call to Comcast said they no longer supply batteries and to purchase from outside vendor. I can't find anyone who sells the battery for RCA/Thompson DHG536.
Does anyone know where I can purchase one?
Let me google that for you: Google says EBAY
comcast says they have batteries for sale
Get a new battery
If you would like to order a battery or replace a depleted battery, please call us at 1-888-972-1261. A new battery may be purchased for $35.00 plus taxes and a $5.95 shipping fee. The new battery will be sent to you and arrive in about 7-10 business days.
Thanks, cjerian. I did see the eBay listing. The price is only $11.49 w/free shipping and it may be my only option. Although, I am concerned they may be older previously installed ones removed from various modems.
Considering how many people have Xfinity one would think the batteries would be more available.
Comcast no longer supplies batteries. The webpage is outdated.
Lots of people at comcast do not know what they are talking about, especially chat and phone,
maybe you can ask corporate at we_can_help if they do batteries or not.
If the execs work harder they might adjust the balance more toward service. Either they do or don't if they don't they need to update the web site. Ask

FWIW, they lost a good and an innovative man when Frank Eliason left the company.
The Comcast rep on chat gave me a different number to call. They have a dedicated Back-up Battery Sales number 800-948-5385. The woman said it is $35 +$5.95 shipping but as a new Xfinity Voice customer they will send one to me free of charge. I guess one just needs to find the right contact/dept. All-in-all good result.
Thanks for your help.
EBay - It's the only way to fly.
Search by typing in the modem brand and model number and there should be several options for sellers. I bought a new 8 hour battery ...for an Arris modem...for $13.49 shipped.
As always with Ebay, of course be sure to buy only from sellers with the highest possible rating.
Thanks. I may go to eBay for the second battery as the price seems reasonable. Although I don't lose power often, Hurricane Sandy made me rethink some things.
