Way to block UNKNOWN, not just private, callers

Way to block UNKNOWN, not just private, callers

Unfortunately I need to expand my cable bundle for a landline. My brother's phone company has a service where "unknown" callers are blocked. It's a service called "Do Not Disturb". (This is blocks UNKNOWN callers, not just private calls (which the free *77 service does)). I am VERY aware of the endless telemarketeres on the other end of landlines, and I do NOT want to have to get up twice a day to answer an "unknown" call. So, this service is an absolute requirement for me. So much that I would even consider bundling with another company offering this service.

Does Comcast offer a service like this? I couldn't find much on the net.

Thank you.

Re: Way to block UNKNOWN, not just private, caller

There are a couple of areas you might want to explore on Xfinity Voice for blocking calls.

The first area you might want to have a look at can be found at https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/phone/rejecting-anonymous-calls/ regarding blocking of anonymous caller id calls, the next area can be found at https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/phone/call-screening/ regarding how to block up to 25 specific numbers.

And Xfinity has partnered with a third party to help block robo calls, you can read more about it at https://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/phone/nomorobo

Some of these features are available only with certain levels of Xfinity Voice service as indicated within the information on the pages above, so keep that in mind should you decide to add Xfinity Voice service.

Hope this helps.
