Voice Mail

My phone keeps showing I have a new Voice Mail.  I believe it is something that is left from when I subscribed to Voice Mail.  No longer have Voice Mail and cannot acess it to remove what is left, can you remove it or at least let me be able to listen to it?  Thank you.

If you phone has a menu system, it may be alerting you to a call.  Look at the phone's settings and see if you can "clear" or "disable" the Call Indicator.

Sorry.....You will need to call into Comcast and see what magic they can do remotely on the device or on your account.....

Re: Voice Mail

Called Comcast, they say I need to call Panasonic, which I did.  Panasonic was no help at all.  Still have the message on my phone.  Guess I'm stuck with it.

Re: Voice Mail

Model Number of Panasonic phone is KX-TG1034S...about 5 years old.

Official Employee

Re: Voice Mail

Hi jsvasicek, maybe I can help, I'm in Voicemail Operations at Comcast (just joined the forums).

Do you still have the same phone number, just not voicemail?  If so send me the phone number by private message.  I can try and reset it from the back end.

It may well be an issue with the Panasonic, and this may not work, so I can't promise anything, but it's worth a try.

Thanks,

If ComcastTim can't do anything on the backend.....

This is the onlne manual for your model:  http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG1031.PDF

Page 32 shows how to turn off the Message Indicator.

You need to select which VM system you want to use.  Your phone's or the Comcast VM system.  You should not have both enabled.
