Unable to retrieve voicemail online

Unable to retrieve voicemail online

When I go to my inbox it shows several voicemail messages, all of them about 30 seconds.  When I press the play button, nothing happens but the bottom left part of the status line indicates "error!".  What can I do to fix this?

Re: Unable to retrieve voicemail online

Sorry for the inconvenience. Are you accessing and playing your voicemail this way?

  1. Click the Voice tab at the top of XFINITY Connect
  2. A menu will display on the left side, under the phone number
  3. Click Voicemail and a gray box will appear around the selection
  4. Click on the message you want to hear
  5. Click the Play button to listen to the voicemail
  6. Is this your first time accessing the voicemail tab online? If s it takes 3 days after installation for messages to show up and start working.
  7. Ensure that  you have all up-to-date media players. Firefox and Safari use QuickTime; Internet Explorer uses Windows Media Player. Ensure that your volume is turned up and not muted on your computer, your speakers, or in your operating systems media player. If you log on to another site and verify you can play audio like www.comcast.com and see if the video plays and the audio starts. Im trying to make sure you have all the correct plug ins working.
