How do you send a text to an address which is not a normal phone number but is a 5 digit number often given to join a list such as

    TEXT hello TO 55555 to join



  When I have tried from my text messaging screen I receive the following error


Your message to 55555 could not be delivered because the mobile number is
invalid or could not be reached. Please check the number and try again.

Apparently this feature is not supported, so I have sent a message to management explaing the issue and concluding by saying:


"Yes, somebody needs to complete the texting option or remove the statement that it is supported. It does not support sending to a 5 digit number which is a common texting option. Claim to supporting texting is misleading."

I've encountered the same problem.  Have they addressed a solution with you?

No solution has been provided, so I may try contacting them again as without this feature it makes their texting capability very weak. They should qualify in bold letters their limitation in supporting texting.

Are we just wasting our time when we post here, or will someone from Comcast provide a reply. It seems I have several outstanding issues with this one among the.


COMCAST staff  you owe us a reply as to actions being taken in providing a service which you claim to supply.
