Stopping Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

Stopping Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

I keep getting computer generated phone calls from Card Services International.  They last called me from 751-000-9654.  That number cannot be blocked by Comcast!  They call me several times each week!!  Please help me figure out how to stop this.  It is very frustrating.   Aren't there laws about spoofing?  HELP!!!

Yes, I am registered.  They still call.  This one company just will not stop calling me.  They also change their caller id number, using invalid phone numbers, so I can't block them via Comacst!

Re: Stopping Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

It seems weird that they would be robocalling residential numbers. From what I can tell, their services are for businesses that accept credit cards, they don't do anything with consumers.

Re: Stopping Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

Besides unwanted telemarketing calls what about  my phone number being given to collection companies for the person who had my number before me. This collection agency calls me  at least 20 times a month. Had a long explanation that those people don't have my number and they insist they called comcast and they gave my number? I am paying for unpublished and the person's name isn't even close to mine? How does that happen? Even the address( given by the collection agency)  is totally a different town that wouldn't have my number?

Check out this link below & scroll down to Privacy Features- Then scroll through the links.  There are a few of them to read regarding Comcast's policies.

I don't have digital voice service, I have service through the phone company locally- but I have dealt with banks, creditors, collection agencies calling my unlisted number looking for someone who had my phone number more than ten years ago.

And to add to the 'fun' every month I get calls monthly to 'rent the apartment'... This is a private home, no apartment... Those, I figured out, are the result of someone reversing the digits when dialing to inquire about an apartment for rent.  i even called the phone number one time and spoke to the man who rents apartments and told him what was happening.  He didn't care that he could be losing a pottential; renter or that this was an inconveience for me too. Re: Stopping Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

The FTC is just too lazy to do anything about "Card Services."  The rep taunted me.  "What are you going to do?  Are you in Atlanta?"

The cowards use fake phone number ID.

The rep sounded foreign, effeminate and retarded.
