Phone number no longer in service and alarm system

Just got home from a week long trip and had no internet or phone service. Got internet working but tel light on Technicolor modem will not stay on and phone line is down. Account status online shows all systems ok. Call my number and it says it is not in service. Anyone that called while we were away will think we haven't paid our bill, changed our number or skipped town!


We have an alarm system that dials out over the phone line. Fortunately nothing happened while we were away. This is not acceptable if you can not rely on your phone service if the alarm is activated. 


Update -

Support could not resolve problem. A work order was elevated to level 2. Call back and have to go thru the annoying identification process everytime and have to get someone to check on the status. Said a level 2 can take up to 72 hours which is not very reassuring. Finally got a tel light on the modem and the phone service is back up. May have to go with uverse if I can't rely on Comcast for phone service.
