Phone Line

My phone connection seems not to be working. The "tel" line on my xfinity box is lit but I'm not able to receive or make calls. 97402 area.

Re: Phone Line

Did you try cycling the power on the modem by using the reset on the back of it

These are user-to-user forums.... your best bet is to not wait, but call COMCAST as soon as possible to get this looked into.

Too many issues could be causing this and only COMcast can see for sure.

Good luck!

Re: Phone Line

There are two "phone" connectors on the modem, try the one on the left as you face the connection side of the modem.

I had the 'NO DIAL TONE' problem also, called the service number, received the usual non-answer/run around, decided that since I have a not-in-use phone, I would plug it in and check the results.  DIAL TONE AND THE PHONE IS WORKING FINE.
