How can I delete a "new voicemail" reading on my phone (i.e., the rapid beeping indicators) when our online account says there are no voicemails? Not sure why there is the disconnect. Thanks.
The first try is to call your home phone and leave a message. Then delete the message and most of the time that resets the studdertone.
If that doesn't work, then a call to Comcast support would be next, they can reset it on the switch.
Calling Comcast support only works if you happen to get an agent who knows what he's doing. So far, I haven't found that agent. I spent 30 minutes on their chat line last night, then more time this morning with an off-shore agent. My voice mail light is still flashing... my dial tone still beeps several times... my voice mail says I have no voice mail. Does Comcast have ANYONE who knows their system?
Not sure if my next step should be to contact Comcast's CEO, or the Florida Public Service Commission.
