My Installation experience

Ok the Tech showed up today and hooked up my EMTA Modem. What I didn't expect was him keeping my old modem and using it along with the EMTA. Is this correct?

I also didn't get a welcome kit (He directed me to a channel in On Demand that gave a tutorial. He also said there was no direct access number for my Voicemail. If I need to check my voicemail he said I should just dial my home number and access it from there. I know that isn't right as I called Comcast and they gave it to me.

Re: My Installation experience

As a follow up..... I spoke to Comcast support who told me the reason for keeping the old modem is because the EMTA modem is not Docsys 3 compliant. My existing Mototola modem is so the Tech just split the signal and fed one leg to the EMTA.
