Lost ID capability on TV

Lost ID capability on TV

Have had this capability for a year or more.

Last week our TV reception was interrupted.

When it was restored, we no longer had ID on our TV.

 We were advised to contact Comcast on the internet for a resolution.

 Here we are!

Please advise.

Same thing happened to us. For some reason it turned that preference off. Go into your voice account, and above where the numbers are displayed, There is a button that says "call screening". click the button and it should work again. Good luck, hope you don't need customer service to "help" get it fixed.

Many members find that power cycling your main dvr will fix the issue you describe...

 

1.  Remove power from Main DVR.

2.  Let sit for 30 seconds

3.  Restore power, allowing box to reacquire signal

4.  GO into settings and ensure that SHOW CALLERID is selected within the box

5.  PLace call from another source to your home number and see if it shows....

 

YOu may also need to perfomr the same steps on your CC sup0plied Gateway if it did not have battery backup  ( settings could have become scrambled and need to be reqacuired )....

Thanks for the info everybody.

I tried them all - I still do not have caller ID on my TV.

I have talked to a number of "Technicians" without any positive results.

Maybe the TV Gods will take pity no my TV - but right now I'm not counting

on it .

I have the same problem.  And I have tried all the recommended solutions.   I don't have a DVR.

Thanks, VSHixson. My Caller ID stopped working so I came here for some help. Your easy directions were just what I needed to fix this problem.

Our prayers have been answered!

I don't know how or why - but, our TV ID is BACK!!!

So thanx everyone - it's working!
