I assume you do it the same way as with any other phone system, dial 01144 followed by the phone number.  011 indicates international dialing, and 44 is the country code for England.

I'm a bit late to this party.. but you also drop off the leading 0 from the area code of the person you are calling. So if the local number is 01252 555111 you'd dial 01144 1252 555111

 

That's not true of mobile numbrs where you keep the 0.. yeah I know, confusing.
