Contacting Comcast - help!

They advised me to get a new modem so I went to their store yesterday and waited an hour to make the exchange. When I got home and set it up, my phone doesn't work at all. I had a pre-paid cell phone with 20 minutes left so I called them and they set up a work order. A day later - still no phone. When I try to chat with a live agent, that doesn't work. When I get an e-mail typed and hit "send" it goes nowhere. How do I contact this company? I need my phone! I really don't feel like driving across town and waiting another hour or whatever.
