Constant Outages

I keep having intermittent outages throughout the day with my internet, and voice (digital). It eventually comes back up but is *VERY* frustrating. Moreover, due to the cost of service, it would seem imperative that comcast would be able to fix it but so far, they send someone out who tells me there is nothing wrong, they leave, and the outages continue....

 

 

thinking about att uverse....

The Comcast tech was here last Saturday, he did replace the Motorola model with Arris one. I had hoped that was the problem but no. They have been here three times thus far. Each time, they measure something on the cable both with a PDA device and remotely, they inspect the cables and say there is nothing wrong. Of course, it never happens when they are not here. It is a very intermittent problem however enough so that it is frustrating. And, it's really bad since I lose my phone.

The Comcast Corp team has been notified of your CDV issues, and will get the right people out to correct it once and for all.

Can you share more info about what you're seeing? I checked some things out and I don't see any signal issues. Does this happen at specific times a day? week? How often does this happen? Is tv affected at all? Are you able to move the EMTA to another outlet in your home to compare the experience?

Well, Comcast came out, the problem still exists. And, they charged me for the visit. Today I woke up to cable box that was dead. I called and they want me to drive out to have it replaced, or a technician will come by. Sorry, but this is ridiculous. I am switching to ATT UVerse. Goodbye Comcast....
