Blinking red light

I have voice mail, and yesterday somebody left a message on my phone, I heard the message and deleted like your suppose to and the blicking red light is still blinking on my phone . Help

Could be one of two things....

 

1.  Phantom Message indicator:  You will need to call your line and leave a VM and then use your home phone to delete it and see if it clears..

2.  You didn't state tje model of your phone, but some newer sets have a setting in the menu where you can turn off the Message Light Indicator..  It may be your phone alerting you to a call.
