Battery LED Flashing

I have a SMCD3GNV unit and noticed the Battery LED is flashing.

Is this something that needs immedite attention?

How is this fixed?

Please advise

Re: Battery LED Flashing

you should call Comcast and ask if they provide battery replacement. I asked when my system was installed new, and was told that they change batteries free of charge...please post the outcome of your call here...

Re: Battery LED Flashing

According to the battery supplier Touchstone, the battery should last 6 to 10 years.

Mine just died after less than two. Comcast is happy to replace it  for a mere $40 and

a week's wait while they send it USPS - no expedited shipping even if you wanted to pay for it.

Re: Battery LED Flashing

My "dead" battery came back to life and the LED stopped flashing after I removed the battery and reinserted it with a firm, quick, push into place.  Apparently there was some oxidation or corrosion preventing a good, clean connection.  Give it a try and see if you don't get a pleasent surprise.
