on demand- free not for free

on demand- free not for free

For the past 4 years, we have been able to use "on demand" and then select "free movies" and we have watched free movies.  Now when we try to select "free movies," we have to subscribe to Netflix (and pay more money beyond the hundreds of dollars we pay each year) to watch it.  I have spent hours on the phone with Comast.  I get a different story from each person 1.  There is a problem with your server  2.  If certain networks charge money, you just have to pay.

 

Anyone experiencing this?

Hi ntorbick, is Netflix the only network that shows up under the "Free" section and requires you to obtain a subscription?

I came on the forum to discuss this same matter. I use to be able to voice X1 “Free kids movies”. Now, everything comes up as Netflix. Tried the filter “Free to Me”. Yeah, what a joke. ALL Netflix. Unbelievable! As my kids point to all the movies they want to see and I have to explain they can’t. I could discontinue my premium channels and pay for Netflix. Not paying for both.

Do you only see this issue with Netflix content? When you search "free" on your cable box does any other networks populate?
