Final episode of Ripper Street is only HD

I just went to watch the final episode of Ripper Street.  It is only available in HD.  Have checked the other folders and it is only HD.  Why???????

Just looked this morning and the final episode of Ripper Street is only available in HD.

 

It is in the SD folder as HD

AND

It is in the HD folder

AND

It is in the network forlder as HD only.

Why???

When selecting SD content from Search results, "We're sorry, but we're experiencing an issue...CMOD-0x002" is returned.

Yep, history repeats.  The time-compressed 506 in SD (and HD) was loaded this morning and is available for viewing without getting a server error.

I just have a question for those of you with SD digital (4:3) televisions.

 

Can you play the HD version of a show on your television? If so, I would assume it would have black bars (top and bottom) in order to fit the full width. That would still be better than nothing. I assume you must be able to get your local over the air channels which would include HD channels on your current level of service with Comcast.
