Cable television is a dead horse

Xfinity has killed itself. They are the largest telecoms company and they cant even negotiate with networks to air programming. That was the purpose of cable television. Now its all a hodgepodge and i have to purchase streaming from half a dozen networks. Xfinity has shot themselves in the foot!

Re: Cable television is a dead horse

Since when is any television program worth spending more money to watch it NOW!

There is certainly many more ways to send out programing to customers today. The new broadband companies are biding up the cost of the rights to supply programs each season.

Comcast and other cable companies, satellite companies, will never come close to having a majority of programing under all methods of viewing as a year or two ago.

The outcome is those who feel the need to follow all episodes of any show just end up spending more and more money each month for television. It's time to get a life and spend your money where it is really needed.

What programming are you talking about? Many of the streaming services, like CBS All Access, are designed to go around cable/satellite companies. They have no plans of ever making a deal with a company like Comcast. The best that would happen is they could get an app on the cable box, but you would still need to pay that monthly subscription fee.
