"Failure of server APACHE bridge:" error

Got one of those errors you (Comcast) never want to see, looks like a webserver to appserver transport problem. I was at http://www6.comcast.net/a/ in IE7 on WinXP and clicked on the Sign In link in the upper left corner.  It paused for quite a bit (30 seconds or so) then displayed this page:

    https://login.comcast.net/login?s=portal&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww6.comcast.net%2Fa%2F

Failure of server APACHE bridge:

Internal Server failure, APACHE plugin.  Cannot continue.
