I have a DVD/VHS recorder (JVC DR-MV100) and a Comcast Cable Box. I have splitter from the cable box that sends the signal into the TV and into the DVD/VHS. I was wondering if it is possible for me to watch one show while recording another. If so, how do I do this? Thank you.

You could split the cable before the box, send one cable connection directly into the recorder, and record limited channels using the tuner in the recorder as long as Comcast continues to provide analog signals on the cable.  Other possibilities exist if you have a digital (QAM) tuner in any of your equipment.
