So I had one of the newer motorola DVR boxes and I came home from work to have no signal going to my TV.  I tried multiple HDMI cables and component cables and still no signal.  I know it is not the ports on my TV as my xbox works on every port right now.

So I went to the comcast office to swap it out after talking to someone on TV and now I have some old motorola box and it also is not sending a signal.  I called to activate it, the guide stuff came up and then it rebooted and now I have nothing coming from the box.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to unplug the TV - wait a minute - replug the TV?  Sometimes TV's need power cycling even though the game box was working.

Nest thing try it with component cables as a test between the DVR and TV's component input and test it.

I was on the phone for like an hour and we figured it out.  When I had my services switched a little they removed the HD flag from my account.  This combined with a new update recently makes it so with no HD flag on your account your HD outputs shut off.

We fixed it.  Just wish someone else before him would have known this before I lost a day and three weeks worth of DVR content.

Thanks for the update, I guess I missed the part that mentioned only the HD channels were blank.

Oh all channels were not there.  Nothing will come out of the box except for composite or coax into the tv.  The component, HDMI, and s-video are blocked from use unless you have an HD flag on your account.
