Yeah, same for a lot of the boxes, SD or non DVR HD boxes.

It is a HD DVR. I actually decided to unplug it and reboot it and that did the trick. Just like a computer...when it doubt, reboot!

What is the model of the cable box?

Also is is just a DTA(small converter box)? If so press the LANG button on the remote. Sometimes the signal thinks it is supposed to be in another language or SAP mode.

If it is not a DTA then please post back with the model of your cable box

No audio all of a sudden, but only for cable/TV

We have a new plasma TV and surround sound system hooked up to a DVD/blueray and our cable box. We had it hooked up by professionals and it has worked great for months. Last night while watching TV, the sound just quit. But we still get sound if we listen to the radio through the receiver, play Wii or watch a movie on the DVD player. Have checked all connections and are all still secure. Tried the "help" function on the universal remote to no avail. Help!
