No signal. Check the external input or select another input using the input button.

That is what is on the TV screen. My remote was not working, so today I went and turned in the old and got the new one. Ready to program my new remote for the TV, but I have no signal , and the message that I posted above is there.

 

So is this my box not working now? I need to know what is my next step. I am not able to program my new remote with the TV not having a signal. If that is what that means.

 

Need much help PLEASE Smiley Happy

that message means your tv is not on the input that the cable box is on.  do you see an input button on your tv?  that needs to be switched to whatever input your cable is on.
