Comcast will trade you a newer box with no question, assuming they have one.

It shouldn't cost any more.  The type of box available depends on your market.  You should be able to swap it for an updated version.

Exchange old cable box for a new one

I was wondering what the rules were for if I wanted to exchange my old, outdated cable box for a new one.  Would it cost any more? is it free?? plz help
