Does cablecard need to be validated?

I have an HDHomeRun Prime with a cablecard I obtained yesterday. I was first given a bad card "that could never be activated" so a second trip to the store resulted in a card I was able to activate myself on the web site.

The card works fine; I can scan for channels, and I can tune my regular standard def and local channels in high def. Everything works perfectly (we have no premium channels). But under "Cablecard Status" I have:

CableCARD Status
Card Manufacturer Motorola
Card Authentication success
Card Validation none
3DES encryption supported
OOB Frequency 75.250 MHz
OOB Lock 2.048 Mbps
Signal Strength 98% (-1.4 dBmV)
Signal Quality 100% (38.5 d
Channel List cablecard-oob

Do I need to worry about this if everything is working, or is it OK?
