Our Digital Adapter Remote works fine for turning off the TV, volume and channels, but it won't turn the TV ON.  I've tried every remote code online and in the manual.  It is a Philips LCD TV.  Any ideas?

This has been an ongoing problem for some Philips, Magnavox, and related model sets. Please see this thread: http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-and-Equipment/DTA-Remote-won-t-turn-on-Philips-Magnavox-19PR1...

Tried all of those solutions, and none of them worked.  I do have an extra 'silver' full-function remote - can you use one of those to control a DTA box?  If so how?

A silver full remote will not control a DTA, but the new platnium ones do.

You might try contacting Universal Electronics, the company that made the remote: http://www.uei.com/html.php?page_id=90
