I have two NHL games in HD stuck on my DVR--they will not delete from My Recordings. They're taking up some valuable space on the DVR, and I'd like to get them off. Simply deleting the recordings like I do all others won't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Solution

Power cycling the DVR will rebuild the database of the shows and then you can delete them.

Please unplug the AC power on the DVR for 2 minutes, then power it up again.  The guide can take up to 24 hours to fully populate.

Thanks. Possibly a dumb question, but doing this won't delete all of the saved shows on the DVR? I guess not, if it rebuilds the database--but I just want to be sure so I don't lose anything I haven't watched yet.

Normally the shows will remain unless there is severe corruption on the database.  If the database is that bad, then there is no guarantee that any show would be watchable.

I actually tried your first suggestion last night and it worked--got both games off. Thanks for the help!
