DVR Message: DVR Service Unavailable

My old HD DVR Set Top stopped working last week.  My wife called Comcast and held for almost an hour to get a new one ordered and it took 5 days to get it.  Set up of the new Set Top was fairly simple and the HD TV works well, however when I push the "My DVR" button on the Universal Remote I get the following message:

 

DVR Service Unavailable

DVR service is not available or is currently diabled.

Please call your cable operator.

 

I don't have time to hold for an hour to wait for an online tech so I am hoping someone here will be able to help.  When I look up my account online it shows that the new HD cable box I have is a DVR and my bill shows I am still being charged for the DVR service.  Can anyone help?

Woman SadI did not get a new DVR box but I have not had available service for my DVR for 1 week tomorrow .I also continue to get the NOT AVAILABLE message. I have called twice and getting the same story............problems with the service.

Wish I could help you.....wish they would help me.

I am getting the same message for the last two days. I called comcast and they asked if I was from Houston. When I said I was they told be there was a DVR service problem in my area.

All three cases are rate issues on your account a box hit should fix all
