I moved to a new address a couple years ago, and my old, inactive account is still linked to my login, along with my new one. The old account seems to be the "primary" when I sign into the web site or any xfinity app. How can I get this old account unlinked or deleted? Thanks!

Hello, and thank you for reaching out to us. I would be happy to assist you from here. Can you verify your account information with me? I would need your account number, full name, and service address. You can private message me by clicking my name and clicking private message. Thank you

Your previous Comcast email address(es) (user IDs/logins) may not have been transferred to your new account. They often mess this up and don't tell you.

Double check your UserIDs on your home system with the Lookup tool at https://idm.xfinity.com/myaccount/lookup. After you enter the requested information you'll see a list of the UserIDs on your account and an indication of which one is Primary.

If the ID's are not as you expect, contact one of their reps at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or chat with them at https://www.comcastsupport.com/chatentry/ and have them fix the problem.

Thanks, @BruceW, but my login and password seem to be ok on my new account -- it's just that they're the same as on my old account. And unfortunately I get errors when I try to change the username on either one. I've already spent lots of time on the phone with Comcast employees who were powerless to make this change, and in fact they saw the same errors I'm getting. Based on what I see elsewhere on this forum (where lots of others have a similar issue), my best hope is for the right Comcast support person to see my question and take pity on me.
