This link dose take me to " My Settings Avatars " but I do not see the option that says " Avatars " below. https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-icons

All,

 

To shed some clarity on the situation about forum Avatars.

 

You can use any approved image you've uploaded as your personal avatar or any of the pre-made avatar images. 

 

To use an uploaded image as your personal avatar:

  1. Sign in to the community.
  2. Go to My Settings > Avatars.
  3. Click From the Community or From Uploaded Images.
  4. Click the image to use as your personal avatar.
  5. Click "Save"

To use a pre-made community avatar:

  1. Sign in to the community.
  2. Go to My Settings > Avatars.
  3. Click From the Community
  4. Click the image you want to use as your personal avatar.
  5. Click "Save"

 

If you do not see the "Avatar" tab it is most likely because you do not have the correct permissions yet. In order to get access to modifying your avatar you must participate in the forum. Welcome_to_Post was correct when they stated it requires 20 posts.

Hi Budda1, I can assist you with setting up your account online. Do you already have a username and password set up currently? Or, are you setting your username up for the first time?

There's an (unspecified) lower limit to the number of posts you have to make for the avatars controls to appear. Ten or 20;  we don't know.

To clarify are you meaning your Avatar for the forums site? Are you wanting to change that?

There is No Avatar tab in my Forum Profile.  How do I change the Avatar or at least delete the Avatar that Comcast seems to have chosen for me.  I have an account set up already.Avatar Tab Missing From Forum Profile.jpg

---Exactly how does Comcast decide what avatar to assign to what person?  E.g., how did Comcast decide that a hamburger is an appropriate avatar for me?

---The likelihood of my posting > 20 posts is not high, although I have posted about 3 - 5 now (if that counts replies).

---To whom can I voice my opnion that Comcast should not force any avatar on each person who uses the boards in the Forum?
